Growth Cockpit
What this page is — a guided tour of the Growth Cockpit: every card on it, the rule behind each checklist badge, and what each button does today.
What it is for — reading a project's readiness for Growth at a glance, and getting to the screen that fixes whatever is still pending.
The problem it solves — the cockpit mixes three kinds of content on one page: things you can act on, things that only explain, and things that are not built yet. Knowing which is which stops you waiting for a panel to fill in, or hunting for a wizard behind a button that only shows a notice.
Route: /org/growth · Permission: Open the Growth Cockpit and see setup status.
1. What the cockpit is
The cockpit is a read-only status page for one project. It does not store anything itself. It asks three questions about the selected project and shows the answers as a checklist.
| The cockpit | The screens it points to |
|---|---|
| Reads | Write |
| One page, no tabs | Growth Settings has two sections; Tools Integrations is a separate screen |
| Changes when you switch project | Each project keeps its own website and brand kit |
| Open to anyone who can open the cockpit | Open only to roles that may view or edit those screens |
2. The page, element by element
| # | Element | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| — | Title Growth Cockpit | With the line Discover, plan, execute and correct your marketing from one place. |
| 1 | Gear icon, tooltip Growth settings | Opens Growth Settings. Shown only if your role can view Growth Settings |
| 2 | How Growth works | Four stage tiles. Explanation only; the tiles are not buttons |
| 3 | Get started | Opens a notice. See section 4 |
| 4 | Setup checklist | Three rows with a status badge and a link each. See section 3 |
| 5 | Coming to this cockpit | Five panels that are not built yet. See section 5 |
The cockpit is reached from Orbit Growth → Growth Cockpit in the sidebar, from the Orbit Growth card on the main Cockpit (section 8), or by searching for Growth Cockpit in the header search.
How Growth works
The card reads Four stages, repeated every week, so your marketing keeps improving.
| Tile | Title | Line on the tile |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | Discover | See where your business stands online |
| Stage 2 | Plan | Goals, budget and a marketing plan |
| Stage 3 | Execute | AI agents for content, social and reputation |
| Stage 4 | Correct | Weekly review and course corrections |
This card is an introduction. It describes where Growth is going; see what exists today.
3. The Setup checklist
The card is headed Setup checklist, with the line Finish these so Growth has what it needs. A badge at the top right counts finished rows, for example 1 of 3 done.
Every row has the same parts: a name, a hint, a status badge, and a link.
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Done (green, with a tick) | The rule for this row is met |
| Pending (amber, with a clock) | It is not met yet |
| Optional for now (grey) | Shown beside Pending on the Facebook row only |
What makes each row Done
| Row | Done when | Hint while pending | Hint when done | Link pending → done | Link goes to |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business website | A website address is saved for this project | Tell Growth which website to look at. | The saved address | Add website → Change | Growth Settings → Business |
| Brand kit | A brand kit has been saved for this project | Logo, colours, fonts and tone of voice for everything Growth creates. | The same line | Set up brand kit → Review | Growth Settings → Brand Kit |
| Facebook Page connected | The project can use a connected Facebook Page | Needed later, when Growth starts publishing posts for you. | The same line | Connect → Manage | Tools Integrations |
Three details behind those rules:
- Brand kit. A brand kit that is only pre-filled from existing branding does not count. Somebody must press Save in the editor once. After that the row stays Done, whatever the kit contains.
- Business website. Clearing the address in Growth Settings turns the row back to Pending.
- Facebook Page. A Page connected for this project counts, and so does a Page connected for the whole organisation. An ad account, a business connection, or a connection that has expired or been revoked does not.
Who sees the links
| Link | Shown when your role has |
|---|---|
| Add website / Change, Set up brand kit / Review | View Growth Settings, including the brand kit. |
| Connect / Manage | View Connected Accounts |
Without the permission the row still shows its name, hint and badge. Only the link is left out.
4. Get started
Get started sits under the four stage tiles. Today it opens a small notice and does nothing else.
Discovery is coming next
The discovery questionnaire is not available yet. Meanwhile, finish the setup checklist so Growth is ready the moment it arrives.
Press Got it to close it.
- It does not start a discovery run.
- It does not use AI credits.
- It does not change the checklist.
The button is there because this is where the discovery questionnaire will open from. Until then, the checklist below it is the work to do.
The button is hidden in one case: when Orbit Pulse is not active for the organisation. See the next section but one.
5. Coming to this cockpit
The last section is headed Coming to this cockpit, with the line These panels arrive in later phases. They are empty until then. Each panel carries an Arriving later badge.
| Panel | Line on the panel |
|---|---|
| Marketing health score | One score for your website, search, social and reputation. |
| Plan progress | How far your marketing plan has moved against its goals. |
| Agent activity | What the AI agents drafted, published and are waiting on. |
| Alerts | Things that need your attention, such as a new negative review. |
| Credits used | AI credits spent by Growth in this project. |
These are labels for what will sit here. They hold no numbers, and they are not a sign that something failed to load.
6. The "Orbit Pulse is required" notice
Growth counts its results in Orbit Pulse. If the organisation has Orbit Growth and Orbit Pulse is not active, a notice appears at the top of the cockpit:
Orbit Pulse is required
Growth measures results from your Orbit Pulse leads, deals and forms. Orbit Pulse is not active for this organisation, so Growth cannot start yet. Ask your administrator to add Orbit Pulse to your plan.
While the notice is showing, the Get started button is not shown. The rest of the page, including the checklist, still works.
You will not normally meet this, because adding Growth adds Pulse. It appears when the two packages end on different dates and Pulse lapses first. Renewing Pulse removes the notice.
7. Other states of the page
| What you see | When |
|---|---|
| Grey placeholder blocks in the shape of the cards | The status is loading |
| Select a project — Growth works per project. Choose a project from the project selector to open its cockpit. | No project is selected |
| Could not load the Growth Cockpit with a Try again button | The status did not load. An error message also appears on screen |
| You are not a member of this project. | Your role allows Growth and you are not a member of the selected project |
8. The Orbit Growth card on the main Cockpit
The main Cockpit — Overview in the sidebar, the page you land on after signing in — carries a card for Growth among the other modules' cards. It is a summary of what the Growth Cockpit shows, and clicking it opens the Growth Cockpit.
The card is headed Orbit Growth, with the line Setup progress, websites, brand kits and discovery runs. It holds four small tiles.
| # | Tile | Number | Line under it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Setup | Steps done out of the total, for example 3/3 | steps done |
| 2 | Websites | Projects with a saved business website | of 1 project, or of 6 projects |
| 3 | Brand kits | Projects with a saved brand kit | The same |
| 4 | Discovery runs | Discovery runs started | Last run: and its state, once there has been one |
The whole card and each tile open the Growth Cockpit. Resting the pointer on a tile shows a one-line explanation of its number.
One project, or the whole organisation
What the card counts depends on the project selector in the header.
| A project is selected | No project is selected | |
|---|---|---|
| Counts | That project | Every project of the organisation |
| Setup total | 3: business website, brand kit, Facebook Page connected | 2 per project: business website and brand kit. Six projects give a total of 12 |
| Websites, Brand kits | 0 or 1, of 1 project | How many projects have one, of 6 projects |
| Same as the Growth Cockpit checklist | Yes. 2/3 here is 2 of 3 done there | No. The Facebook Page is left out of the organisation count |
Discovery runs reads 0 with no line under it today, because discovery is not available yet. When runs exist, the line reads Last run: followed by Queued, Running, Completed, Partly completed or Failed.
Who sees the card
The card is shown to users who hold Open the Growth Cockpit and see setup status., in an organisation whose plan includes Orbit Growth. Without either, the card is not shown.
9. Why you would use it
One page answers "is this project ready?" without opening three screens. An agency looking after ten projects can switch project in the header and read the badge on each: 3 of 3 done needs nothing, anything less names exactly what is missing and links to it. That replaces a spreadsheet of "did we upload the logo for that client".
It also makes the dependency on Pulse visible where a marketer will see it, rather than leaving a lapsed package to show up later as missing numbers.
10. Worked example
An agency manages two projects for one client.
- With Harbour Café selected, the cockpit reads 2 of 3 done. Business website shows
https://harbourcafe.example.comand Done. Brand kit shows Pending and Set up brand kit. - The account manager follows the link and finds colours copied from the café's store branding. She presses Edit, adds the tone Warm and personal, and presses Save.
- Exit Growth Settings returns her to the cockpit, which now reads 3 of 3 done and offers Review on the brand kit row.
- She switches to Harbour Bakery. The badge reads 1 of 3 done: only the organisation-wide Facebook Page counts, because the bakery has no website or brand kit saved yet.
- She presses Get started out of curiosity and gets Discovery is coming next. She closes it and carries on with the bakery's checklist.
11. Field reference
The cockpit has no input fields. It shows values that come from elsewhere.
| Value shown | Control | Comes from | Changed in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saved website address | Text on the first row | The project's business website | Growth Settings → Business |
| Brand kit saved or not | Badge on the second row | Whether the project has a saved brand kit | Growth Settings → Brand Kit |
| Facebook Page connected or not | Badge on the third row | The organisation's and the project's connected accounts | Tools Integrations |
| Orbit Pulse active or not | The notice in section 6 | The organisation's plan | The organisation's subscription |
| The four numbers of the card on the main Cockpit | Tiles, section 8 | The same saved website and brand kit, per project or across the organisation | The same two settings sections |
12. Before this works — what an administrator sets up
| Needed | Without it |
|---|---|
| Orbit Growth in the plan | The cockpit cannot be reached |
| Orbit Pulse active | The Orbit Pulse is required notice; no Get started |
| Open the Growth Cockpit and see setup status. on the user's role | The cockpit does not open for that user |
| Show Growth Cockpit in the Orbit Growth sidebar. | The user can open the address directly and has no sidebar entry |
| Project membership | You are not a member of this project. |
13. Don't confuse this with…
| This | Is not | Because |
|---|---|---|
| Growth Cockpit | The main Cockpit | The main Cockpit is the home page for the whole organisation. The Growth Cockpit belongs to one module and one project |
| The Orbit Growth card on the main Cockpit | The Growth Cockpit | The card is four numbers and a way in. The checklist, its links and the settings gear are on the Growth Cockpit |
| Setup on the card with no project selected | The checklist's N of 3 done | With no project selected the card counts two steps per project across the organisation and leaves the Facebook Page out |
| The Setup checklist | A wizard | It does not walk you through anything. Each link opens the ordinary settings screen |
| Facebook Page connected | Publishing to Facebook | The row only reports that a Page is connected. Growth does not post anything today |
| Credits used | Your organisation's AI credit balance | It is a placeholder and shows no number today |
14. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| The count says 1 of 3 done on a brand-new project | The Facebook row is already Done because a Page is connected for the whole organisation |
| The brand kit row is Pending and the Brand Kit section shows colours | Those are pre-filled suggestions. Open Edit and press Save |
| The website row went back to Pending | The address was cleared in Growth Settings |
| There is no gear icon at the top right | Your role cannot view Growth Settings |
| There is no Get started button | Orbit Pulse is not active; the notice at the top of the page says so |
| The five lower panels stay empty | They are placeholders marked Arriving later |
| The card on the main Cockpit reads 2/12 and the checklist reads 3 of 3 done | No project was selected on the main Cockpit, so the card counted the whole organisation. Select the project and it reads 3/3 |
| There is no Orbit Growth card on the main Cockpit | Your role cannot open the Growth Cockpit, or the plan does not include Orbit Growth |
| The Facebook row is Pending and a Facebook connection exists | The connection is an ad account or a business, or it has expired. A Page connection is what counts |
