Orbit Growth

What this page is — the map of Orbit Growth as it stands today: which screens exist, which parts are announced on screen but not built yet, and how Growth depends on Orbit Pulse.

What it is for — deciding what you can do with Growth now, and what to prepare, before you give anyone access to it.

The problem it solves — the Growth Cockpit describes four stages of marketing work, and only the groundwork for the first one is in the product. Without this page it is easy to look for a discovery report, a marketing plan or an AI agent that is not there yet.

1. What Orbit Growth is

Orbit Growth is the part of Optima Orbit that will run your marketing as a repeating weekly cycle: find out where the business stands online, agree a plan, carry it out, and correct course. It is a separate package from Orbit Pulse, with its own sidebar group and its own settings.

Today Growth is at its foundations. Two screens exist, and both are about getting a project ready.

2. What exists today and what is coming

The cockpit names four stages. Here is what each one means for you right now.

Stage on screenWhat the cockpit saysWhat you can do today
DiscoverSee where your business stands onlinePrepare for it: save the business website and the brand kit. The discovery questionnaire and its report are not available yet
PlanGoals, budget and a marketing planNothing yet
ExecuteAI agents for content, social and reputationNothing yet. No agent drafts or publishes anything for you today
CorrectWeekly review and course correctionsNothing yet

The cockpit is open about this. Get started opens a notice titled Discovery is coming next, and five panels at the foot of the page each carry an Arriving later badge.

Nothing in Growth acts on your behalf today

Growth does not post to social media, send messages, change your website or spend AI credits at the moment. Saving a website address or a brand kit only stores it for the project.

Why you would set it up now

Setup is the only part of Growth that needs a person's judgement, and it does not depend on anything that is still to come. The brand colours, the logo and the tone of voice are decisions somebody in the business has to make once. If they are made while the rest is being built, the first discovery run can start the day it is switched on, instead of waiting for a logo file to be found.

It also surfaces problems early. A project with no public website, or an organisation whose Facebook Page was never connected, shows up as a Pending row in the checklist today rather than as a failed run later.

3. Growth needs Orbit Pulse

Growth measures its results in leads, deals and form submissions, and those live in Orbit Pulse. So the two packages are tied together by a rule that applies wherever a plan is changed.

When this happensThe result
Orbit Growth is added to an organisation's planOrbit Pulse is added with it. The screen says Orbit Pulse was added because Orbit Growth requires it.
Somebody tries to remove Orbit Pulse while Orbit Growth is activeA confirmation titled Remove Orbit Pulse? explains that Removing Orbit Pulse will also remove Orbit Growth, because Orbit Growth requires Orbit Pulse. The choices are Remove both and Keep
A plan is saved with Growth and without PulseThe save is refused with Orbit Growth requires Orbit Pulse. Add Orbit Pulse or remove Orbit Growth.

In short: adding Growth always brings Pulse, and Pulse cannot be taken away on its own while Growth is active.

Packages can also end on different dates. If Orbit Pulse lapses while Orbit Growth is still active, the Growth Cockpit shows a notice titled Orbit Pulse is required and withholds the Get started button until Pulse is back. See Growth Cockpit.

4. How Growth is organised

Three things about this shape matter in practice.

  • Everything is per project. The website and the brand kit belong to the project selected in the project selector. A second project starts with its own empty checklist.
  • The cockpit only reads. It reports what is saved elsewhere. You change things in Growth Settings and in Tools Integrations, and the checklist follows.
  • Settings is a full-screen area. Opening Growth Settings replaces the normal sidebar with a rail of its own. Exit Growth Settings takes you back.

Growth also shows up on three shared parts of the application: an Orbit Growth card on the main Cockpit, two actions in the header's Quick Create menu, and four entries in the header search. They are shortcuts to the two screens above, and are described in Getting started.

5. Worked example

Meera runs marketing for a furniture retailer that has two projects in Optima Orbit: the showroom and an online store.

  1. The organisation's plan gains Orbit Growth. Orbit Pulse was already there, so nothing else changes.
  2. Meera opens Growth Cockpit with the showroom project selected. The checklist reads 1 of 3 done, because the organisation's Facebook Page is already connected.
  3. She follows Add website, types www.example.com and saves. The address is stored as https://www.example.com and the first row turns to Done.
  4. She follows Set up brand kit. The colours are already filled in, with the message Copied from your store branding. Review and save. She adds the logo, picks two fonts and a tone, and saves.
  5. The checklist reads 3 of 3 done. She switches to the online store project and finds its checklist back at 1 of 3 done, because settings are kept per project.

Nothing else happens, and that is correct for now: the showroom project is simply ready.

7. Field reference — what Growth stores

Growth keeps two records per project. Each has its own page with the full rules.

9. Troubleshooting

There is no Orbit Growth group in the sidebarThe organisation's plan does not include Orbit Growth, or your role has no Growth permission
Orbit Pulse appeared in the plan and nobody chose itIt is added automatically whenever Orbit Growth is added

Get started only shows a noticeThe discovery questionnaire is not available yet. That is the expected behaviour today
